Alternative Bank Schweiz (ABS) donates Crowdify-Extraboost for Cultural Center in Ukraine
The Ukrainian initiative "Repair Together" was founded at the end of April 2022 by local activists and artists after the liberation of large territories around Kyiv and Chernihiv. It combines clean-up work with big dance events, called raves, to provide volunteers with a diversion from the daily grind of war.
“Repair Together” is now helping 16 villages in the Chernihiv region to rebuild their homes. More than 160 houses have already been cleared of rubble and more than 20 repaired thanks to the help of more than 2,000 volunteers. Currently, the organization is professionally reconstructing 17 buildings.
“Repair Together” is in close contact with the local population, who asked it to rebuild the cultural center of Ivanivka so that it can once again become the heart of the community's social life.
The German-Swiss non-governmental organization Libereco is currently raising funds for "Repair Together" on the crowdfunding platform Crowdify. The BAS supports it by granting them an extra boost of 1,000 francs. The bank regularly allocates this amount to a social or ecological project on Crowdify.
