Bank Australia named Customer-Owned Bank of the Year and Digital Bank of the Year by Money Magazine

Bank Australia has been recognised with two major honours in Money magazine's 2026 awards, being named both Customer-Owned Bank of the Year and Digital Bank of the Year.

The awards reflect the bank's dual focus on customer-first banking and a simple, secure digital experience. As a 100% customer-owned bank, Bank Australia operates without external shareholders, meaning every customer becomes a part-owner with one equal share and one vote at the bank's Annual General Meeting.

The bank's customer-owned structure also guides its social and environmental commitments, with up to 4% of annual after-tax profits directed to its impact fund, supporting initiatives in climate action, biodiversity, First Nations recognition, and affordable housing.

On the digital front, Bank Australia pointed to ongoing upgrades to its mobile app and online banking platform, along with a fully digitised home loan onboarding journey, as key drivers behind the Digital Bank of the Year recognition.
