Ekobanken's interim report
The bank has a good result as of 30/06/2023. Ekobanken reports for the period a profit before tax of SEK 2.5 million (previous year's period SEK 1.2 million), which means an increase of approximately 100%. The bank has continued to have no established credit losses.
During the first half of the year, the bank developed according to plan. Ekobanken turns 25 this year, which the bank will pay attention to throughout 2023. The big celebration took place in connection with the bank's general meeting in April with both a birthday lunch and a cake party. During the first half of 2023, the world has still been affected by the continued unrest in many parts of the world and the war in Europe affecting people and the economy in general. Inflation is high in the world and the bank follows developments closely. The quality of the credit portfolio remains very good and the bank has had no credit losses during the first half of the year. Reviews of the situation with the loan customers are carried out on an ongoing basis and so far nothing with a significant impact on the bank has been noted. The influx of new companies and associations has been good. It shows that interest in Ekobanken continues even in times of societal challenges.
- We are pleased that the bank has a good result for the first half of the year. The work is ongoing to continue developing the bank in a time of concern with the aftereffects of a pandemic, in parallel with a climate crisis, war and unrest but also an awakening in society about the power of money in connection with change. We believe in transparency to change the financial system in a sustainable direction. Enlightenment, education, knowledge and information are a basis for development and understanding. What a collective force that stands behind Ekobanken - customers, owners, elected officials, employees, partners - many thanks! says the bank's CEO Maria Flock Åhlander.
