2022 Green Bank of the Year: Teachers Mutual Bank Limited
Global Alliance for Banking on Values member bank, Teachers Mutual Bank Limited, has been awarded the Finder Green Awards, Green Bank of the Year for 2022. After being finalists for the previous two years, they have now won this coveted prize. The bank's net zero operations, as well as its ESG approach, have been deemed the key to its victory. Teachers Mutual Bank Limited is the only Australian bank with five products accredited by the Responsible Investment Association of Australasia.
Teachers Mutual Bank Limited began operations in 1966 and offers membership to individuals related to the education sector as well as their family members. With more than 220,000 members and over $9 billion in assets, they have five divisions: Teachers Mutual Bank, Health Professionals Bank, Firefighters Mutual Bank, UniBank and digital bank, Hiver Bank.
