Banco Múltiple Ademi Wins Gold for Financial Inclusion at 2026 Americas Awards
Banco Múltiple Ademi has received the Gold award, the highest distinction, in the Financial Inclusion category at the 2026 Financial Innovators in the Americas Awards for its Housing Improvement Programme.
The programme, which has been running for over 20 years, provides financing to improve housing conditions for low-income communities. It supports upgrades such as replacing zinc roofs and wooden walls with more durable materials, installing sanitary facilities and expanding living spaces.
With a strong focus on climate resilience, the initiative also helps households better withstand extreme weather, particularly during hurricane season, reducing risks and improving overall quality of life.
The award recognises the programme’s significant social and environmental impact, positioning the Dominican Republic among regional leaders in financial innovation. Representatives from the bank, including Executive President Andrés Bordas and Vice President of Strategy and Innovation Alicia Freites, received the award on behalf of the institution.
