Strengthening Regional Cooperation: Kompanion Bank CEO Becomes First Kyrgyz Representative on Credo Bank’s Board

The CEO of Kompanion Bank, Dr. Margarita Cherikbaeva, has been appointed as an independent member of the Board of Directors and Chair of the Audit Committee of Credo Bank, the fourth largest bank in Georgia. Her candidacy was approved by the National Bank of Georgia, marking the first time a representative of Kyrgyzstan has joined the governing body of a bank of this level.

Margarita will continue her role at Kompanion Bank while contributing to Credo Bank’s governance, creating new opportunities for regional cooperation, exchange of experience, and integration of best practices. Both Kompanion and Credo share a journey from microfinance to modern digital banking and are aligned in their commitment to sustainable development and support for small and medium-sized businesses.
