BRAC Bank Maintains Top Sustainability Ranking for Fifth Year

BRAC Bank has secured the "Top Sustainable Bank" designation from Bangladesh Bank for the fifth consecutive year, maintaining this honour since the central bank's Sustainability Rating system launched in 2020. The bank significantly outperformed regulatory benchmarks in 2024, achieving 94% disbursement in sustainable finance against a 20% target, and 17% in green finance versus the required 5%.

BRAC Bank has established itself as a transparency leader, becoming the first Bangladeshi financial institution to fully disclose its carbon footprint and publish independent sustainability reports. The bank's leadership has earned international recognition, including top ESG performer status from Moody's, while supporting community initiatives that provided climate-resilient agricultural training to 2,500 farmers in 2024.
