BFIN and PHDCCI Host High-Level Symposium on Economic Reforms for Nepal

The Banking, Finance and Insurance Institute of Nepal (BFIN), in partnership with the India-Nepal Centre of the PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PHDCCI), convened a high-level symposium in Kathmandu under the theme “An Aspiring Nepal: How to Benefit from Economic Reforms?”

The event brought together leading policymakers, economists, and industry experts from Nepal and India to explore strategic opportunities arising from economic reforms and foster deeper regional collaboration.

Regional Representative for Asia Pacific of the Global Alliance for Banking on Values (GABV), Upendra Prasad Poudel was present and joined other speakers including Sanjeev Sanyal, Economic Advisor to the Indian Prime Minister, and Binod Chaudhary, Member of Nepal’s House of Representatives. Discussions centered on actionable reforms to boost sustainability, private sector growth, and regional cooperation.

Organisers emphasised that the symposium marked a vital step in promoting economic dialogue and reform-driven growth, paving the way for a more inclusive and prosperous Nepal.
